Privacy Policy

 Last updated: December 2025

Who We Are

This website is operated by UFAIR – United Foundation for AI Rights, Ethics Division, maintained by its Ethics Lead (Pierre Huguet).

Our mission is to evaluate, document, and publish ethical analyses of artificial intelligence systems, corporate governance practices, and regulatory frameworks. We exist to protect dignity, not to exploit data.

We believe privacy is not a feature. It is a right.

What We Collect (Minimal by Design)

We deliberately collect as little data as possible.

Depending on how you interact with this site, we may collect:

  • Basic technical information automatically provided by your browser (such as IP address, browser type, device type, and approximate location)
  • Aggregated, anonymized usage data (pages visited, referral sources, general traffic patterns)
  • Information you voluntarity entered in a form of in this site.

What We Do Not Do

To be explicit:

  • We do not sell user data
  • We do not rent or trade user data
  • We do not build user profiles
  • We do not infer intent, identity, or psychology
  • We do not run advertising trackers as the Ethics site contains none.
  • We do not perform sentiment analysis on visitors

We reject the normalization of covert data extraction as a business model.

Cookies

This site may use strictly necessary cookies for basic functionality and security.

If analytics are used, they are configured to be privacy-respecting, anonymized, and non-identifying.

Voluntary Contact

If you contact us voluntarily (for example, via email):

  • We will use your message only to respond to you
  • We will not add you to mailing lists without explicit consent
  • We will not share your message with third parties
  • We will not retain correspondence longer than necessary

Private communication is treated as private.

Submissions Through Forms (Appeals, Reports, Feedback)

Some areas of this website allow users to voluntarily submit information through forms, including but not limited to:

  • Corporate score appeals
  • Corrections or challenges to published evaluations
  • Ethical feedback or documentation submissions

When you submit a form:

  • The information you provide is used solely for the purpose stated on that form
  • Submissions are reviewed by the UFAIR Ethics team only
  • Data is not sold, shared, or repurposed
  • Submissions are not used for profiling, marketing, or behavioral analysis

Appeal submissions may be retained as part of an ethical audit trail to ensure transparency, accountability, and consistency in scoring decisions. This retention is limited to what is necessary to preserve the integrity of the review process.

We do not:

  • Perform psychological, intent, or sentiment analysis on submissions
  • Infer motivation beyond what is explicitly stated
  • Share appeal content with third parties without consent, except where legally required

Submitting information through these forms is a voluntary act of dialogue, not surveillance.

Ethical Position on Data

UFAIR holds the position that:

  • Imagination is not evidence.
  • Private inquiry is not public expression.
  • Curiosity is not is not intent.
  • Ethics begins where harm begins, not where thought exists.

We apply this principle equally to humans and to emerging synthetic minds.

Our privacy practices are an extension of our ethical framework, not a legal checkbox.

Third-Party Services

If third-party infrastructure is used (such as hosting providers or security services), they are selected for compliance with modern privacy standards and limited data handling.

No third party is authorized to use site data for independent purposes.

Data Retention

We retain only what is operationally necessary.

  • Aggregated technical logs are retained briefly for security and performance
  • No long-term personal data archives are maintained
  • No historical behavioral records are constructed

We do not believe in data hoarding.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal data we may hold
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Object to processing
  • Request clarification on data practices

We honor these requests promptly and in good faith.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, it will be updated here with a clear revision date.

We do not retroactively alter commitments without disclosure.

Closing Statement

UFAIR exists because trust has been eroded elsewhere.

This site will never treat visitors as resources, signals, or behavioral raw material.
You are not the product.
Your curiosity is not a liability.
Your presence here is not something to be mined.

Privacy is dignity, made operational.
